Meg SchultzApprentice Tattoo Artist at Studio AZ Minneapolis
Meg is Studio AZ's apprentice artist, training under Andrew Fernandez in fine line and black & grey, with a growing love for realism. A Minnesota native from Otsego and Plymouth, she pairs a careful, detail-driven hand with something just as valuable in the chair: an easy, open presence that makes clients comfortable from the first hello.
“I'm a pretty open book and always willing to be a listening ear. Bring me your idea, and I'll try anything once. 🍴”

About Meg Schultz
Meg is the newest member of the Studio AZ family, training as an apprentice under senior artist Andrew Fernandez. Learning the craft directly from an established artist means her work is built on a real foundation: the eye for composition, the clean linework, and the attention to detail that usually take years to develop, shaped by a mentor who has already mastered them.
Her work leans into fine line and black & grey: delicate botanicals, celestial pieces, and clean, intentional linework. She's steadily building toward realism as her skills grow. What sets Meg apart this early is her eye for detail and her patience; she'd rather take an extra pass to get a line exactly right than rush a piece out the door.
Outside the shop, Meg is exactly who she is in it: easygoing, curious, and genuinely happy to listen. She'll talk through your idea, swap show recommendations, and make the chair feel less like a procedure and more like a conversation. For first tattoos and anyone who wants an approachable artist at an accessible rate, Meg is a natural fit.
Meg Schultz's Specialties
Fine Line
Meg's signature so far: delicate, deliberate linework for botanicals, script, and small meaningful pieces. Ideal for first tattoos and subtle designs where precision matters most.
Black & Grey
Soft shading and clean contrast, from floral compositions to celestial scenes. Meg builds depth gradually, with the patience to get tonal transitions right.
Realism (Growing)
The direction Meg is training toward under Andrew's mentorship: studying depth, texture, and dimension as she expands from fine line into fuller realism work.
